What is PrimeForge?

PrimeForge is a portfolio of software products built by DarkHorseOne, a UK company. It covers business systems for smaller organisations, practical AI tools, and learning experiences. The products do not share a market or a codebase — what they share is a method: each one starts from a specific need someone actually has, and keeps changing as that need does.

Who builds PrimeForge?

DarkHorseOne, a UK software company. PrimeForge is its product brand rather than a separate organisation, and the same engineering team builds and maintains everything under the name. The team is small enough that the people who answer an enquiry are the people who write the code.

How is PrimeForge different from traditional SaaS?

Traditional software asks users to fit workflows that were decided before they arrived. PrimeForge products are built around how a particular set of people already work, and change when that changes — there is no fixed roadmap that a request has to wait for. The Forge Log records every change with a date, so the claim is checkable rather than a slogan.

Are PrimeForge products free?

Every product currently in the PrimeForge portfolio is free to use, with no paid tier or subscription attached to any of them. That could change for an individual product in future, but nothing published today carries a price. The pricing shown on a product’s own page is the current, authoritative answer for that product.

Where is my data stored?

Information you type into a form on this site — the contact form or the newsletter signup — is stored on DarkHorseOne’s own server in the United Kingdom, not with a third-party marketing platform. If you consent to analytics, Google processes a small set of anonymised events on our behalf, which may leave the UK under the safeguards set out in the privacy notice. Local AI Tools works differently: those run entirely on your own machine, so nothing about what you do with them is sent anywhere at all.

How often do PrimeForge products change?

Regularly, rather than on a fixed release schedule — some products see several changes a month, others go longer between updates depending on what needs attention. Every change, however small, is recorded in the Forge Log with the date it happened, so the actual pace of change for any one product is something you can check directly rather than take on trust.

Can I request a change to a product?

You can request a change through the contact page, which reaches the same people who build the product rather than a support queue kept separate from engineering. There’s no fixed roadmap a request has to wait behind, and no guarantee that a specific request gets built, but the products are built on the principle that a workflow should move to fit real use rather than the other way round.

Is PrimeForge suitable for a small team?

Most of the portfolio is specifically built for small teams and organisations without a dedicated department for the job in question. PrimeForge HR and Risk2Ready are built around that kind of organisation directly, Local AI Tools and the Agent/Productivity Tools are aimed explicitly at individuals and small teams, and MathViz is open to anyone regardless of size. Foresight suits a small team doing its own workforce planning as well as it suits a larger one.

What does "software, alive" actually mean?

It means the products keep changing after release instead of shipping once and staying fixed — each one evolves as the need behind it changes, rather than following a roadmap set in advance. That pace is possible because DarkHorseOne uses AI throughout its own process — research, design, engineering, testing and delivery — which lets a small team build and revise software at a level that would traditionally need far more people. AI is how the team builds, not something bolted onto the products themselves.
