Local Automation
ActiveGive every script on your computer PrimeForge's AI.
Local Automation is an app for PrimeForge Desktop. It turns the AI engine inside Desktop into a service that the other programs on your computer can call. A mail rule, a scheduled script, a spreadsheet macro or a tool you wrote yourself hands it some text and gets an answer back — no separate cloud account to set up, no API key to buy, and nothing listening beyond your own machine.
It is installed from within PrimeForge Desktop and runs inside it: Desktop starts and stops it, gives it access to the AI engine, and opens its management page with one click. It does not run on its own, so PrimeForge Desktop needs to be installed and running for your scripts to reach it.
Every program gets its own client and its own token. You can see which program made which request, set how many requests each may make at once or in a day, and switch one off or revoke its token without touching the others. Tokens are created, viewed and revoked from a management page in your browser, which also shows whether the AI engine is answering, with a one-click connection check and a live AI test.
It speaks two languages. A simple JSON endpoint suits scripts you write yourself, and an OpenAI-compatible endpoint lets tools that already support a custom OpenAI address — Aider and many editor plugins among them — use PrimeForge with nothing more than a base URL and a token. A command-line tool for macOS and Windows makes it a one-liner from AppleScript, PowerShell or the shell, with exit codes a script can branch on.
Your programs can bring their own tools. Register a local MCP server and the AI can look things up in your own data while answering that program's requests — and only that program's. Other programs never see those tools, and Local Automation, not the AI, decides which ones may be called.
Every request is written to an activity record you can search, filter and export: who asked, how it ended and how long it took, and by default what was asked and what was answered. That record stays in a file on your computer. You choose how long its content is kept, can clear it in one click, or can turn content recording off entirely.
Local Automation can also pair with Marshal, so tasks Marshal hands out run on this computer through your own PrimeForge engine.
